Q. What is the advantage of the BI-UPS technology compared to an external UPS?

A. Using BI-UPS technology reduces power consumption, increases reliability, improves power quality and saves space.

Q. My requirement is slightly different to a standard ATX power supply. Can Magnum customize the outputs to my requirements?

A. Magnum is fully equipped to customize power supplies to individual customer requirements and is approved to UL and TUV safety standards for such work.

Q. Is BI-UPS a proven technology?

A. Yes. There are over 200,000 BI-UPS products in the field and nearly 100 designs have been completed using this technology since its inception in 1994.

Q. My systems are used in hostile industrial environments. Can Magnum’s products operate in high temperature etc?

A. Magnum products are designed to industrial standards for operating temperature, etc.

Q. How long will the back-up battery last?

A. Back-up times depend on many factors such as the load applied, the state of charge of the battery, the condition of the battery, operating temperature. In principle the BI-UPS function is designed to provide a few minutes of back-up power to enable shutdown software to gracefully close files and applications.

Q. I will be shipping systems worldwide. Do Magnum products have suitable approvals for global markets?

A. Magnum products are approved by all major Safety Agencies including cUL, TUV, CSA and CE (Actual approvals may vary from product to product – see specification sheets).
